World and National Champions

World and National Champions

2010 WORLD BLACK BELT Divisional Champions: The Fifteen (15) 2010 NASKA World Tournaments (3-A and above rated tournaments) make up the NASKA World Ratings. All Black Belt competitors who place among the top eight finishers in his/her division at any NASKA World Rated Tournament will receive points toward a World Rating in their respective divisions (See the point chart for the amount of points you earn for 1st thru 8th places). Grand Champions points do not go into the divisional point totals, but they do count in determining the Overall Black Belt World Champions in youth and adult weapons, form and fighting (See Overall Black Belt World Champions). The competitor’s best Nine Scores from the potential 15 world tournaments they can enter will count toward the competitor’s world ratings. All of the competitor’s points from all NASKA tournaments (State, National & World) will count toward the Competitor’s national ratings. The number one competitor in each required World NASKA Black Belt division is crowned the World Champion of that division. 159 NASKA Divisional World Champions are crowned (See NASKA Black Belt Division Page).

The 2010 OVERALL BLACK BELT WORLD CHAMPIONS (WEAPONS, FORM, FIGHTING): Grand Champions are the “Best of the Best”. All the winners of individual divisions compete against each other in the 14 World categories listed below to determine the best in weapons, form, and fighting. A competitor will receive grand champion points for each Grand Champion they win. The Black Belts who finish with the most Grand Champion points are crowned the NASKA Over-All World Black Belt Champions. A best over-all world champion will be crowned in the following Black Belt categories:

FORM GRAND CHAMPIONS - 6

WEAPONS GRAND CHAMPIONS - 6

GRAND CHAMPIONS - 8

The 2010 NASKA National Ratings: The National Ratings will be compiled from the results of all the 6-A, 5-A, 4-A, 3-A, 2-A, 1-A and State NASKA tournaments a competitor enters in 2010. All the tournaments a competitor enters and places in will count toward his/her national rating. Both black belt and under black belt competitors are rated in the designated NASKA rated categories (See rated division categories for 2010). All Black Belt and Under Black Belt competitor who places among the top eight finishers in his/her division at any NASKA World and National Rated Tournament and top four place at any State Rated Tournament will receive points toward a National Rating in their respective divisions (see the point chart for the amount of points you earn for 1st thru 8th places). Points earned by a competitor in a “World” division will go into the appropriately rated National division category.

SPECIAL NOTE: World ratings are compiled for black belt competitors only, not under black belt competitors. World ratings are calculated from the Black Belt divisional results of the World NASKA Tournaments (4-A, 5-A and 6-A rated)
